Managing Director

Mike started the business 15 years ago, having recognised the power of the internet as a marketing tool. He is in charge of marketing and Internet consultancy. Mike’s key roles are in designing web strategies through consultation with clients, and in managing the development process.

Client Manager

Jason has been with Wired for over eight years as an account manager looking after client projects from the creative to the deployment of websites. Jason is also involved with managing the search engine optimisation of websites and developing Google AdWords campaigns for clients.

Qualification: 

• Bachelor of Science (University of Canterbury)

Account Manager

Keith’s ability to listen, understand and recommend a sensible solution ensures that the product is delivered on time, on budget and as per the original requirements.

His background includes programming, systems analysis, management, sales, marketing and business ownership. Keith is also a gifted presenter and seminar leader when assisting organisations with business strategy, website SEO and staff motivation.

Qualifications: 

• Member New Zealand Computer Society (MNZCS)
• Associate New Zealand Institute of Management (ANZIM)

Lead Developer

Nick focuses on developing specifications for our new products. He also project manages the subsequent development process. As part of this Nick examines client requirements and suggests possible solutions. He works with the clients until a satisfactory outcome is created, whether involving existing tools or creating new ones to fit the bill.

Nick works with ASP/ASP.NET and other web technologies.

Qualification:  

• Bachelor of Business Computing (CPIT)

Senior Web Developer

Cook is the main developer at Wired for Insite Survey. As part of this he both creates surveys and analyses their results. He is also able to add additional functionality to answer specific client requirements.

His skills include programming with various languages such as HTML, ASP, C++ and Java. In addition he is experienced in database management systems, providing web interfaces and facilitating the import and export of data on demand.

Qualification:  

• Bachelor of Commerce in Computer Science and Information Technology (University of Canterbury)

Developer

Miles began making shopping websites and client-edited content systems in 2000. He started with a large company in 2002, developing content management, data entry and reporting systems for their intranet. In 2008 he moved to Wired as a developer of database-driven websites and intranet systems.

His skills include ASP.NET, MS-SQL, HTML and CSS. He also has past experience with PHP, MySQL and ASP.

Qualification:  

• Diploma of Computer Engineering (Avonmore)

Developer

Jacky has been working in the Web industry for six years and is the lead developer of SmartestMail and other internal development projects.

His skills include ASP/ASP.NET programming and Flash development.

Qualification:  

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (University of Canterbury)

Senior Web Designer

Stu has been with Wired for over six years. His main role is in designing web interfaces for clients. He is also involved in project management, is the chief trainer in the use of Wired products, manages the helpdesk, and advises clients on content.

Qualification:  

• Diploma in Digital Design (CPIT)

Senior Digital Designer

Janet started her design career with Wired in 1998 when we were still very small and spent six years with us, then forged out on her own for three years. During this time she expanded her skills by working on online Flash applications, software interface designs, digital photography, and went back to school at CPIT to learn 3D animation.

Now she’s back at Wired her role includes web interface design, Flash animation, photography and some print design.

Qualifications: 

• Diploma in Visual Communications Design (CPIT) 
• Graduate Diploma in 3D and Animation (CPIT)

Web Designer

Sam started as a designer at Wired in late 2010. He is primarily involved with layout design and content management. In addition to this Sam has a background in print design and large format imagery.

He's also a skilled animator and the lead guitarist in a band named Sounds of Vengeance. 

Qualifications:

• Diploma of Multimedia (Natcoll)
• Diploma of Graphic Design (Natcoll)
• Graduate Diploma in 3D and Animation (CPIT).

User Experience Designer

Greg joined Wired in mid-2010 to develop the increasing usability and user experience work coming in from our clients. He also helps with client liaison, project management, Analytics and performance reporting, content proof-reading, and content development.

He has worked for a number of corporate and not-for-profit organisations, been involved in publishing and knowledge management, and is now a convert to using web standards to build usable and accessible web sites.

Delivery Partner

Bruce manages our website usability process and delivers this in a partnering role. When he’s not making the rough edges smooth he’s at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (CPIT) where he is Programme Leader in the Graduate Diploma of Information Design.

Bruce lectures in information management, communication research and theory, and usability testing, and is currently studying towards a doctorate. His professional background is as an archivist, and he has worked as an editor, web content writer, information architect, and usability tester.

As well as teaching, Bruce undertakes consultancy work, mainly around website evaluation, information architecture and user-centred procedure design.

• Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Master of Arts in Political Studies (University of Otago)
